Tuesday Takeover: Tee Hunter

Today, the stunning Tee Hunter is taking over the blog. She is a badass, no-nonsense attorney and business owner that uses her wit and creative arguments to problem-solve, to the benefit of her clients. What I love about Tee is her ability to shut out the noise and do her; she’s a non-conformist, has a shark-like focus and work ethic, and is in sick shape which shows she is very disciplined. I’m excited to introduce Tee to the Maz Mavens and display her strong style on this Tuesday Takeover.

xoxo, Katherine

Look #1

Hello Ladies! I can’t thank Katherine enough for valuing my eclectic taste and allowing me to share my personal style tips.  My goal is to show other women that there is no “right” way to dress professionally, and you don’t have to break the bank to be stylish and professional at the same time.

When shopping for myself, I ALWAYS buy things that speak to my personality.  That way, I don’t ever have to worry about it going out of style. I would say my style is classy but trendy.

Just Another Day at the Office

I love workdays at the office because it gives me the flexibility to be me.

Office days usually consist of a stylish top, dress pants or a dress skirt, and wedges or heels.  While, most often, you will find me in plain, dark wedges at the courthouse, I’m more inclined to wear fun heels at the office.  I find that this is a good setting for clients to see that this is more to you than the usual neutral colored and conservative suit that most generally wears to court.

Finding the Best Fit for Your Body and Style

I have always been athletic and it's important to me to have a look that shows I’m strong, but doesn’t hide my curves. Comfort and style can go hand in hand, but shouldn’t constrict who you are and what you stand for.

Some of my style inspirations are Michelle Obama, Olivia Pope (a character from Scandal), and Teresa Mendoza (a character from Queen of the South).

Closing Arguments

In my world of fashion, there are no rules (hence my rebellious side) or a method to the madness.  I buy whatever appeals to my eye, and most likely, it is something with a pop of color.  Once I find my statement piece, I generally tone down my outfit with neutral pieces and wedges or heels.

“Don’t be into trends.  Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live.”  -  Gianni Versace

With that said, I hope you’re inspired to be, unapologetically, you.

Xoxo,

Tee
