Tuesday Takeover: Rana Najib

Welcome Rana Najib to takeover this Tuesday! Rana is a strong, working mother who has translated her 15 years of customer service and management experience to give outstanding client services as a Real Estate Agent with Fidelity Real Estate Brokers. For the short time I’ve known Rana, she’s truly been such a positive and generous person going that extra mile to make someone’s day or to give detailed information that could make a difference when it comes to decision making when it comes to real estate purchases. As a native Texan, Rana shows that her attention to detail does not just come from her work ethic which you can follow at @RealEstateWithRana, but also in her style which is always on point. I’m excited to have her share some of her tricks of the trade with us this Tuesday.

Looks that Tell: First Impressions

As a real estate agent, I get to play with a variety of looks. I have to be able to move in my clothes when I show homes while still looking professional. Considering how crucial first impressions are as a realtor, I always carry a basic black blazer in the trunk of my car for those unexpected scenarios. No matter the circumstances, it is always better to be well dressed and feel quite confident in your attire. A potential client is likely to judge your appearance and I always want my wardrobe to accentuate my work ethic. In meetings and networking, I like to dress up the black basics. I also like to add a colorful pump, a bright lip color, or add some bold jewelry to zhush up my appearance.

Comfortable and Confident: Fashionable On-the-go Looks for Busy Moms

As a mom first, I am usually in my favorite pair of jeans that are made by J Brand which you can find on sale at Nordstrom or Neiman throughout the year. The fit is tailored and can be easily dressed up with a great pair of heels when I am on the go. You never know when you will meet a prospective buyer or bump into an existing client. Nordstrom has been my go-to place to shop since I was sixteen years old. Their customer service and price matching options are top-notch. They also have helpful online suggestions on how to put together different looks. I buy all my closet staples from Nordstrom. My black club Monaco skirt, my black Spanx pants, and black Calvin Klein dress are all from Nordstrom.

Appointments Only: Looks that Work

Honestly, I can shop anywhere for my tops. Target, Zara, and Express are the spots for a lot of my basics but with a curvy lower body, I have to invest in pieces that flatter my petite frame.

Once you learn what suits your body type, you can add a touch of whatever is currently in style. I try and follow the trends by adding a pop of color or a small item from that particular season.

Fashion should be fun and make you feel happy. Try wearing yellow on a rainy day. I promise you will feel better! Most of all, be gentle with yourself and enjoy the clothes you are wearing, no matter where you buy them from.

Don’t forget to follow me at RealEstateWithRana at both FB and IG. xoxo, Rana
