Luck has Nothing to Do With It

Hard work gets a bad rep. It’s got a negative connotation that says it’s exhausting, not fun, and leads to a life with means, but without pleasure. Most that achieve success “in style” are said to have “luck.” I am here, in my new office, to declare that is simply not true. Hard work is empowering especially when it is paired with accomplishment and success at doing something you love. Putting in the hours, having faith, and believing in yourself is the best way to reap the rewards you are seeking.

Success is the product of energy. I bring energy every day to the office and inspire my staff to be at their best for our clients. That’s my job. Serving our clients at a top level, motivating and managing a premier staff of women, and moving the ball forward are always bullet points on the top of my to-do list. My energy sets the office tone for each and every workday, and the thing that gets me hyped up and ready (besides Starbucks and blaring music on the way to work) is fashion in my workwear. There is an energy to it all its own.

Can’t Talk Right Now, I’m Doing Hot Girl Sh*t

Many times I’m asked how I do it all and the answer is prioritizing. I constantly make to-do lists, schedule appointments, and block off time to manage the operations of my business, my clientele, and the other activities that help to promote our business. I’m strategic about what I want to accomplish and wake up early to get started on the day’s goals. I often work after I put my children to bed at night or wake up in the middle of the night to send out emails for the next day. My motto is: “Look good, feel good, get sh*t done.”
